There were a few things inside that small box and each one of it did not fail to touch my heart.
The first one that caught my eye was the box of board game I had played with his family. The title is (behold) "People do not piss me off!" Haha, what an interesting name isn't it? Actually it is the german version of a common board game we normally called "Aeroplane". You know which one i'm talking about?
Then there was this box of chocolate that we used to munch throughout the 5 hour car journeybetween Regensburg and his hometown. They really brought back lots of fun memories..
And there's this small box of Expresso Chocolate!!!! I was SO amazed when i first tried it. There's REAL BITTER EXPRESSO COFFEE inside the chocolate! Perfect for a coffee lover! Bitter coffee on the inside, sweet Ferrero Rochio chocolate on the outside. Ooooooh~~ Heaven on Earth...... Anyway, story behind this chocolate- I was looking for it high and low the day before i flew back to Singapore but it was out of stock! Was so disappointed. It cant be found in Singapore rite... anyone seen it somewhere before? Please do tell me yar!!! =)Last but not least..... christmas cards!! One of them were written by his family! The touching lines from his parents really touched my heart....
It is difficult for friends staying so far apart to stay in contact. I am glad that I've still got a couple of friends back in Germany who still remember me. We are often sucked into the whirlpool of work and studies, and that gives us easy excuses to not put in the extra efforts to update each other about their lives. But all it takes is just a short email to say hi once in a while, or an e-card to brighten each other's day. Agree?
Anyway, just a couple of thought about friendship =)
But more importantly, Thank You Steffen!! =)
